Job Title: Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team at Vaco. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading the accounting operations and providing strategic financial guidance to the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, inventory accounting, and reporting.
  • Prepare and provide timely monthly financial statements, including status and progress reports.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously improve operational excellence by analyzing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor accounting team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a controller or senior accounting role.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
