Position Overview:

As a Senior Operations Research Analyst, you will engage in the intricate process of identifying the underlying causes of complex challenges and subsequently analyzing, reporting, and formulating strategic recommendations for innovative solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in addressing multifaceted issues for our clientele.

Your Role:

In this leadership position within our analytics division, you will spearhead the development and implementation of advanced analytical methodologies, ensuring the delivery of impactful solutions. Collaborating closely with a diverse team of analytics professionals, operational subject matter experts, technology specialists, and clients, you will orchestrate the planning of analytical approaches, conduct thorough research, gather pertinent data, analyze findings, interpret results, and effectively communicate insights to various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the analytics team in the creation and enhancement of web and cloud-based analytical applications.
  • Produce comprehensive briefs, documents, presentations, and talking points to convey analytical results.
  • Facilitate collaboration with stakeholders and actively participate in program meetings aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Utilize your passion for operations research to devise qualitative and quantitative methods, models, and processes.
  • Apply advanced techniques such as optimization, sensitivity analysis, and multi-criteria decision analysis to inform strategic planning and resource allocation.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in Special Operations, focusing on the development and execution of innovative analytical processes.
  • Extensive background in supporting the Department of Defense as an operations research systems analyst.
  • Proven ability to translate operational needs into technical applications and vice versa.
  • Experience leading analytical teams in support of strategic operations and assessments.
  • Strong skills in conducting evidence-based qualitative and quantitative analyses to inform decision-making.
  • Proficiency in utilizing tools such as VBA and Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis and reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of special operations functions, including strategy and resource prioritization.
  • TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
  • A Master's degree in Operations Research is required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with programming languages and tools such as Python, R, Tableau, and MATLAB.
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of unstructured data effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated initiative in providing innovative solutions to complex challenges.
