Position Overview:
In the finance division at CoStar Group, we centralize transaction processes to ensure precise reporting, financial resolutions, and accurate forecasting analysis.

Joining our team provides access to specialized financial functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash and asset management, client contracts and billing, and revenue recognition.

The Senior Accountant will primarily assist in the monthly closing process, which includes the preparation of (i) monthly journal entries, (ii) account reconciliations, and (iii) variance analyses related to monthly financial outcomes.

Additional responsibilities include supporting the implementation of enhancements to the Company's Enterprise Resource Planning system.

This role will also collaborate with the Financial Planning and Analysis team and engage with various departments to analyze budget and forecast variances, aiming to improve our month-end closing processes.

Exposure to technical accounting matters, such as business combinations and integrations, along with interactions with external auditors, may also be part of this position.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting documentation, and review monthly financial outcomes.
2. Assist with special projects within the department or as part of cross-functional teams.
3. Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the review of the closing process, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
4. Ensure timely monthly closing and accurate financial results.

Basic Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
2. Proven commitment to previous employers.
3. 3+ years of accounting experience in a large international public company or a Big 4 accounting firm.
4. Familiarity with Oracle Cloud ERP.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred.
2. CPA license or candidacy.
3. Strong project management, time management, and communication skills.
4. Ability to think critically and analyze data effectively.
5. Capacity to work collaboratively within a team to complete projects.
