About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Hepburn and Sons LLC. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the Naval Systems Engineering Directorate (SEA 05) for ships, ships systems, weapon systems, and sensors in the Technology Development and Transition (TD&T) area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: Provide business and financial management support to prepare, monitor, and track budgets for various R&D programs and portfolios.
  • PPBE Process Support: Provide support and recommendations regarding the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.
  • Program Objective Memorandum (POM) Support: Support the financial planning and justification for the POM process.
  • Budget Planning and Submittals: Provide support in response to budget planning and submittals, POM papers, Obligation Phasing Plans (OPP), preparing Planning sheets, and assist in providing responses to proposed budget marks.
  • Advanced Knowledge of PBIS System: Possess an advanced knowledge of the PBIS system and use the system throughout the PPBE cycle.
  • Financial Performance Tracking: Support the planning and tracking of obligations and expenditures to achieve successful financial performance of programs.
  • Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System Expertise: Possess expert knowledge of the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Funding Document Preparation: Prepare funding documents using ERP, obtain copies of obligating documents and invoices for reconciliation, monitor and report obligations and expenditures to ensure programs are achieving financial benchmarks on a monthly basis, and identify risks and issues to the program manager to ensure timely corrective action.
  • Financial Analysis and Recommendations: Conduct financial analyses and develop recommendations to support the program managers ability to manage the cost, schedule, and performance of assigned programs successfully.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, etc.
  • Relevant Experience: 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • DoD Secret Clearance: DoD Secret Clearance.
