Key Responsibilities

The Construction Project Superintendent will be tasked with:

  • Coordinating the activities of all construction subcontractors in collaboration with the main office.
  • Scheduling, overseeing, and being present for inspections by relevant agencies.
  • Interpreting and understanding information contained in architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and landscape drawings and specifications.
  • Reviewing shop drawings and reports generated by testing and inspection agencies.
  • Preparing and tracking Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Documenting daily activities and capturing progress through photographs.
  • Possessing a working knowledge of computer systems, including Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel; managing PDF files and other documents.
  • Engaging with design professionals, subcontractors, project managers, and local officials to resolve issues, mitigate conflicts, and address disputes.
  • Ensuring a clean, organized, and safe job site while enforcing safety standards.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for the Construction Project Superintendent role will possess:

  • Over 10 years of experience in large-scale commercial construction, with luxury retail experience being a plus.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the construction process.
  • Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting all construction documents, including specifications and drawings.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to take on multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A willingness to undertake various tasks to ensure timely project completion.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary ranging from $115,000 to $125,000.
