Job Overview

Position Summary

The Manager of Agency Services - Licensing plays a crucial role in guiding, mentoring, and enhancing the capabilities of the Agency Services team. This position is dedicated to delivering efficient, compliant, and high-quality service to our clientele, aligning with the objectives of the business unit and the established service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Licensing and Contracting processes, including the regulatory requirements across various states.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and proactively implement necessary adjustments and communication strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Act as a bridge between independent producers, their networks, third-party administrators, and various internal departments including Commissions, Contracting & Licensing, Legal, and Finance.
  • Foster a high-performing team environment.
  • Strategically manage resources to consistently meet quality and service expectations.
  • Develop and track departmental and individual KPIs, SLAs, and objectives that align with broader enterprise goals, providing insights to the AVP of Agency Services.
  • Engage in strategic planning to enhance departmental operations, compliance, efficiency, and overall performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the enterprise to drive significant initiatives and facilitate successful change management.
  • Analyze licensing data to identify trends that inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop interim solutions while maintaining a holistic view of the enterprise impact.
  • Oversee departmental training initiatives, including the documentation and review of procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with state regulations and managing key controls.
  • Establish and pursue business objectives for yourself and your team to enhance performance and achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years in the insurance or financial services sector, focusing on Contracting and/or Commissions.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Preferred experience in the insurance industry, particularly with agents/IMOs and Financial Institutions.
  • Proven leadership and change management skills.
  • Experience managing KPIs, SLAs, and workforce data.

Additional Information

  • Other duties and projects may be assigned as needed.
  • Regular attendance is expected.
  • Some travel may be required (less than 10%).
