The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Manager to lead the development and implementation of clinical research programs in the GynOnc and Benign Gyn divisions. This is an exempt level, benefited position that requires a strong background in clinical research, leadership, and project management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement clinical research strategies to advance the department's research goals and objectives.
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of clinical research programs, including staff management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with department management, principal investigators, and other stakeholders to develop and implement clinical research policies and procedures.
- Develop and manage clinical research budgets, including budget development, billing reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of grant proposals and clinical trial protocols.
- Supervise and train clinical research staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and University policies.
- At least six years of progressively responsible clinical research experience, including clinical trials budgeting, portfolio oversight, and staff management.
- Preference will be given to candidates with 10 years of oncology experience and knowledge of University IRB policies and procedures.
- Master's degree or higher in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) certification required.
