Public Health Nurse

The City of New York seeks a highly skilled Public Health Nurse to join its team in the Division of Family and Child Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing healthcare services to students in New York City schools and promoting healthy practices among youth and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform as a member of a health team in the New York City schools, providing healthcare services to students.
- Conduct case findings, referrals, and follow-up in conjunction with audiovisual screening teams, doctors, and other health providers.
- Provide health education to students and staff, advising families on proper health practices.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare monthly reports for nursing supervisors.
- Develop collaborative relationships with school administrators and community members.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. They must also be able to perform Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and meet the supervisory level qualification requirements for Assignment Levels II and III. If selected, the candidate will be required to provide original documentation, such as a valid U.S. Passport, Permanent Resident Card, or Driver's license, as well as proof of education and current resume.
