Help Desk Support Specialist

Job Summary:
Delaware Nation Industries is seeking a skilled Help Desk Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to computer users in an enterprise-level work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support and be able to provide timely and effective solutions to technical problems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance to computer users via telephone, email, or in-person.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems, including hardware and software issues.
- Document and track problems to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with network services, software systems engineering, and applications development teams to restore service and identify core problems.
- Simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
- Recommend systems modifications to reduce user problems.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Four (4) years of directly related experience supporting help desk Tier 2 operations, preferably in a large-scale government customer environment.
- One (1) year of IT problem-solving/troubleshooting experience.
- One (1) year of experience with remote management tools.
- Demonstrated experience with Remedy/Help Desk Management Systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated experience with Active Directory, Network Basics, and VPN Basics.
- IAT Level I baseline certification in accordance with DoDD Cyberspace Workforce Management (or achieve within three months of hiring).
