Key Responsibilities:

As a Construction Site Supervisor, your daily tasks will encompass, but are not limited to:
  • Overseeing project safety protocols, including inspections, TAGs, pre-task analyses, and liaising with the Director of Safety to ensure daily safety training and awareness.
  • Thoroughly reviewing and interpreting contract and project documents, including submittals, shop drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
  • Preparing daily reports and timecards.
  • Maintaining professional communication with architects, engineers, general contractors, and construction managers as necessary.
  • Collaborating with the project team to formulate work plans and schedules, reviewing these plans weekly with the Project Manager and General Superintendent.
  • Assisting in generating RFIs and managing project changes, ensuring clear communication with field teams.
  • Managing manpower levels to adhere to schedules and optimize profitability.
  • Working closely with the Project Manager and other team members to meet project goals.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Tracking project costs in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Alerting the team to any issues that arise.
  • Estimating, ordering, sequencing, and reporting on necessary materials.
  • Participating in all LDP meetings.
  • Supporting strategic planning initiatives in Civil and Concrete sectors, ensuring compliance with the strategic plan.
Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following experience, knowledge, and skills:
  • Five to ten years of experience in commercial construction as a foreman or supervisor, demonstrating professionalism and integrity.
Preferred qualifications include:
  • A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • Completion of training in construction management, project management, and safety communication.
  • A demonstrated ability to understand site requirements, tools, methods, and materials across various trade divisions.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with diverse individuals, both internal and external.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, effectively planning and organizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Capability to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and take responsibility for actions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A passion for collaborative planning and problem-solving.

Work Environment and Physical Demands: The majority of work occurs outdoors at construction sites and in office trailers where project monitoring and decision-making take place. The role may involve exposure to loud noises from construction equipment. Protective gear is required on-site, including hard hats, safety glasses, and high-visibility clothing.

Physical requirements include:
  • Occasional standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, use hands for tasks, and operate a keyboard.
  • Capability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
