We are seeking an experienced and skilled Trademark Paralegal to join our team at Goodwin. As a key member of our Trademark group, you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys and clients in the preparation and prosecution of trademark applications, as well as the enforcement and clearance of trademarks.
Key Responsibilities- Trademark Prosecution: Assist in the preparation and filing of trademark applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, including pre- and post-registration maintenance actions.
- Trademark Clearance: Conduct preliminary trademark searches and coordinate foreign clearances to ensure the availability of trademarks for our clients.
- Client Communication: Communicate with clients regarding prosecution, enforcement, and clearance matters, providing timely and effective support to meet their needs.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members to ensure seamless execution of trademark matters.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage trademark dockets, provide reminders to attorneys, and participate in regular docket meetings to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Education: Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience as a Trademark Paralegal.
- Skills: Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and iManage or other document management systems. Knowledge of trademark docketing systems such as CPi is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Trademark Paralegal in a law firm or corporate setting.
- Additional Requirements: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and multitask, and strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
