Patient Care Specialist

Job Summary:
As a Patient Care Technician at Virtua Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse/LPN, you will assist with patients' activities of daily living and plan of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and mobility and transport.
- Perform technical duties as directed by RN/LPN, such as vital signs, point of care testing, bladder scanning, and foley catheter care.
- Communicate changes in patient status to RN/LPN and respond appropriately.
- Reinforce education of patient and family/responsible party regarding individual care needs and safety issues.
- Participate in Virtua patient satisfaction initiatives and goals.
Requirements:
- Demonstrates required knowledge of basic patient care skills, procedures, and standards.
- Must have strong communication skills.
- High School Diploma or Grade Equivalent Diploma (GED) required.
- BLS certification.
