We seek a Community Manager who possesses a vibrant personality and a commitment to serving the community. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the demographics within the Los Angeles region and possess experience with Affordable Housing and Tax Credit programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, manage, mentor, and assess team members
- Provide daily guidance and leadership to the team
- Identify suitable contractors, outline project scopes, and acquire necessary estimates
- Conduct property evaluations to uphold aesthetic standards and identify maintenance needs
- Oversee the maintenance program, including supervision, inspections, and monitoring of work orders
- Address resident inquiries and concerns
- Prepare annual budgets, monthly variance analyses, and process financial documents
- Manage invoice processing in Yardi and submit for payment
- Facilitate rent collection and prepare deposits utilizing Yardi/Onesite property management software
- Foster a positive workplace culture
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required by the Regional Manager
- Timely report property liability claims, employee worker's compensation claims, and property loss claims in accordance with company policy
- Authorize payroll for all staff, including commissions and bonuses when applicable
- Promote Risk Management initiatives to ensure employee safety
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Education:
- Experience with Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs in Affordable Housing is mandatory
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Solid understanding of General Ledgers and budgeting processes
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal fair housing regulations and relevant local housing laws
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken
- Ability to effectively utilize common Microsoft software applications
- Experience with Yardi is preferred
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Capacity to empathize with residents and staff while enforcing community guidelines
- Exceptional problem-solving, listening, and reasoning abilities
