Position Title: Patient Care Coordinator

Position Overview: The Patient Care Coordinator at Tidelands Health plays a vital role in managing patient registrations, ensuring first call resolutions, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position involves collecting precise demographic, financial, and medical data, scheduling appointments, and facilitating referrals. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

  • Promote a positive patient experience by engaging with patients, overseeing registrations, and coordinating patient flow.
  • Accurately input registration details and confirm insurance information.
  • Secure necessary signatures and disseminate patient information.
  • Document insurance verification and referral data meticulously.
  • Manage inbound and outbound communications efficiently and courteously.
  • Support appointment reminders, cancellations, and rescheduling tasks.
  • Provide administrative assistance as required.
  • Responsible for pre-registering and organizing patient interactions.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within the healthcare sector.
  • Familiarity with basic medical terminology and call center operations is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional interpersonal abilities and capacity to perform under pressure.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and adept problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Physical Demands: The position may require standing, sitting, walking, and occasional lifting of items weighing up to 15 pounds.
