Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer - Land & Site Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and organizing workload, demonstrating success working with a team of professionals, and a commitment to quality, good communication skills, and a positive work ethic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage activities related to project scope, schedule, cost, quality, communications, resources, and risk elements to optimize client service, quality, and fiscal responsibility.
  • Design and Construction: Plan, design, and construct civil engineering projects, including land & site development, water/wastewater infrastructure, and storm water projects for both private and public sector clients.
  • Leadership: Lead specification and contract document preparation, including permitting, and stakeholder involvement.
  • Client Management: Manage day-to-day activities of project engagements, including clients and project teams.
  • Team Collaboration: Successfully interface with multi-disciplinary design teams.
  • Quality and Budget: Achieve project objectives, including quality/scopes, budgets, and schedules.
  • Mentorship: Mentor engineering staff.
  • Business Development: Assist in marketing business opportunities with key clients and development of responses to RFPs/RFQs.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain continuing business relationships with clients as part of ongoing business development efforts.
Requirements
  • Education: Must possess a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering; a master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience is preferred; less experienced candidates shall be considered.
  • Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida is required.
  • Skills: Excellent technical writing skills, strong client relationship skills, outstanding organizational skills, strong sense of urgency, project responsibility, and initiative.
