Position Overview
This role encompasses comprehensive oversight of financial, administrative, operational, managerial, human resources, and strategic planning matters pertaining to designated divisions. Responsibilities extend across all facets of divisional, departmental, and institutional missions, including administrative leadership for clinical services, education, and research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Oversight: Accountable for managing financial operations, including the operating budget, annual budget development, variance reporting, performance analysis, and management of special purpose accounts. Collaborates on capital budget development and oversees grant and extramural funding.
  • Operational Leadership: In partnership with the Division Chief, provides strategic direction and operational guidance for divisional initiatives and programs. Cultivates a culture of operational excellence that aligns with organizational strategies and enhances patient experiences.
  • Human Resources Management: Coordinates recruitment, promotion, and retention efforts for division staff, including faculty and non-MD personnel, in accordance with established policies. Responsible for selection, credentialing, productivity management, compensation, benefits, training, and payroll processing.
  • Strategic Development: Collaborates with the Division Chief and relevant departments to assess the competitive landscape for divisional services. Identifies growth opportunities and potential market threats, analyzes data to support strategic initiatives, and formulates business plans for new services.
  • Community Engagement: Actively participates in departmental, hospital, and community service activities, including committee involvement, administrative meetings, and presentations.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of ten years of leadership experience in academic, medical, or practice management required; twelve years preferred. At least seven years of management experience preferred.
