Chief Technologist of Nuclear Operations

Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia is a leading medical organization dedicated to delivering exceptional cardiology care. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Technologist of Nuclear Operations to join our team.

This leadership role will focus on overseeing nuclear clinical operations across our practice, ensuring the highest standards of quality and patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily nuclear operations, developing and maintaining the monthly nuclear schedule, and ensuring proper staffing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily nuclear operations, including scanning, imaging, and patient care
  • Develop and maintain the monthly nuclear schedule, ensuring adequate staffing and resource allocation
  • Ensure quality control functions are performed as required, maintaining the highest standards of patient care
  • Responsible for submitting and maintaining ACR certification, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Collaborate with the operations team on equipment installation and ensure new sites, rooms, and equipment are ready for clinical use
  • Work as a scanning technologist a minimum of 1 day per week, or more as needed, to cover departmental needs
  • Assist in the interview process of new technologists, conducting initial onboarding and retraining as needed
  • Provide input on clinical evaluations and employee action plans, ensuring fair and effective performance management
  • Collaborate on new policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
  • Attend monthly operations meetings as needed, staying informed and engaged with the team

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree and Certificate from College or Technical School in Radiology/Nuclear Medicine Program or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 5 years experience in a clinical setting
  • CPR Certification, with scanning experience in PET
  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills, with basic knowledge of computer applications and programs
  • Ability to travel to all 35 offices, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the team
