As a **Manufacturing Engineer** at **Fortive Corporation**, you will be responsible for **evaluating, designing, executing, and sustaining** methods, manufacturing operation sequences, specifications, and equipment requirements for the production and assembly of both new and existing products.

Your role will involve supporting new product introductions and providing assistance for released product support, with a keen focus on key metrics such as **safety, quality, cost efficiency, and productivity**.


**Key Responsibilities:**

1. Conduct manufacturing engineering tasks that ensure the integrity of product design, thereby guaranteeing quality and cost-effective production.

2. Offer engineering insights to the design team regarding existing production capabilities, equipment, facilities, and standard practices to enhance design development.

3. Collaborate with support teams to ensure that capabilities and capacity are developed to accommodate new products.

4. Strive for efficient manufacturing by meeting quality, cost, operational specifications, and adhering to customer and company standards and requirements.

5. Implement **Lean manufacturing principles** to enhance production processes and achieve cost reductions.

6. Understand key business drivers and utilize this knowledge to effectively accomplish your work.

7. Lead and implement projects of varying complexity and scope.

8. Investigate injection molding challenges and assembly processes at the cell level.

9. While there are no supervisory responsibilities, you will provide informal guidance to new team members.


**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Plastics Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.

- 2-4 years of relevant experience.

- Proficient in root cause analysis using various problem-solving methodologies.

- Knowledge of continuous improvement practices (e.g., Toyota Production System, Kaizen, Lean, etc.).

- Demonstrated leadership experience within a team, project, or job setting.

- Comfortable addressing problems of moderate scope, requiring analysis of identifiable factors.

- Ability to exercise sound judgment within established procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions.

- Strong interpersonal skills to build productive internal and external working relationships.

- Capability to read and interpret mechanical drawings is essential.

- Ability to manage high-pressure situations, engineering workloads, and understand the impact of your responsibilities.

- Proactive in a metric/result-oriented environment, taking initiative to meet goals.

This position is eligible for a bonus as part of the total compensation package. The salary range for this position is competitive and will vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
