Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Transplant team in Chelsea, Massachusetts. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continuity of care for patients undergoing lung transplantation.
Responsibilities- Coordinate all aspects of the transplant process, including patient assessments and pre or post-transplant care
- Understand and adhere to pre and post-transplant protocols, serving as a resource for internal and external healthcare providers
- Provide and maintain comprehensive documentation in patient medical records
- Participate in and support research activities within the Transplant Program and MGH Transplant Center, publishing results as needed
- Ensure compliance with Policy and Procedure for Data Submission to the OPTN, participating on committees and task forces related to organ transplantation
- Share knowledge through mentoring and precepting other Transplant Coordinators, assuring quality and performance improvement standards are developed and maintained
- Assist OPOs and other community organizations with educational presentations and information, as needed
- Minimum of 3 years recent Intensive Care Unit and/or transplant experience required
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent experience required
- Master's degree in a clinical nursing specialty preferred
- Current Massachusetts licensure as a registered nurse
