Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Renal/Pancreas Transplant team.

As a Renal/Pancreas Transplant Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients undergoing kidney or pancreas transplantation. Your primary focus will be on assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating a plan of care for our post-operative renal and pancreas transplant patient population.

You will work closely with the multidisciplinary transplant team to ensure seamless care coordination, including in-patient teaching, medical management, and follow-up care. Your expertise in renal medicine and transplant-focused patient care will be invaluable in this role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and planning care for post-operative renal and pancreas transplant patients
  • Providing in-patient teaching and education to patients and their families
  • Coordinating medical management and follow-up care with the transplant team
  • Facilitating interactions between the multidisciplinary team members
  • Telephone contact with patients to assess clinical status and monitor response to therapy

We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in renal medicine and transplant-focused patient care. A minimum of two years of experience in renal medicine-focused patient care and abdominal surgery or transplant-focused patient care is required. Triage experience and comprehension of immunosuppressants, rejection, and infection treatments are also essential.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts
  • BSN required
  • Minimum two years of experience in renal medicine-focused patient care and abdominal surgery or transplant-focused patient care
  • Triage experience
  • Comprehension of immunosuppressants, rejection, and infection treatments
