Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
The Front Desk Lead will play a crucial role in maintaining OCB's core values, which include outstanding patient care, unity, ethics, integrity, fairness, operational excellence, and fiscal responsibility.

  • Supervise front desk operations and staff, ensuring efficient patient check-in/check-out processes, registration, insurance updates, and appointment scheduling.
  • Manage daily activities of front desk and concierge personnel, adapting workflows to meet patient volume and needs.
  • Assist in training and mentoring front desk staff, serving as a liaison between staff and management.
  • Address and communicate any operational challenges to staff promptly.
  • Guide staff in determining patient copay amounts and insurance coverage, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate comprehensive training for new front desk employees and provide ongoing development for existing staff.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance staff productivity and service quality, resolving team and process-related issues.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, exemplifying honesty, trust, respect, and open communication.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a medical front office setting is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of supervisory or training experience is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Familiarity with insurance and billing software is essential.
  • Understanding of insurance and billing practices is necessary.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (Epic preferred) and computer software applications.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional leadership and customer service skills are required.
