We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Triage Registered Nurse to join our team at Asian Pacific Healthcare Venture. As a Triage RN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the efficient flow of patients through our triage unit.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive triage assessments and follow up according to scope of practice and APHCV policies and procedures.
- Provide triage services over the phone and in face-to-face encounters, ensuring effective and efficient patient flow.
- Recognize signs and symptoms of urgent care needs and rapidly assist patients in obtaining a provider assessment and/or transfer to a higher level of care.
- Clinically supervise LVNs and MAs assigned to the Triage Unit, ensuring adherence to patient safety and quality of care standards.
- Assist the Triage Unit Supervisor in maintaining a safe and effective patient care environment.
- Participate in data collection and data entry for quality improvement activities, supporting the implementation of organizational improvements.
- Ensure confidentiality of all patient information provided verbally or in writing by the patient, patient's family member, and healthcare provider within or external to APHCV.
- Respond to and provide leadership in emergency situations, adhering to emergency policies and procedures.
- Current RN license in the State of California.
- BLS certified according to the AHA guidelines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to demonstrate patience and convey a warm, caring attitude toward patients and staff.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work with people of diverse cultural, educational, social, economic, and linguistic backgrounds.
- Regular predictable attendance during clinic hours.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately with minimal supervision.
- Ability to teach others.
- Must be able to materially perform the tasks normally associated with the position, including but not limited to: ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Recent experience in a clinic or outpatient setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to clearly communicate in English and at least one of the following languages: Thai, Khmer, Tagalog, Vietnamese, or Spanish.
