Triage Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Triage Registered Nurse to join our team at Asian Pacific Healthcare Venture. As a Triage Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the efficient flow of patients through our triage unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a complete triage assessment and follow up according to scope of practice and APHCV policies and procedures.
- Provide triage service over the phone and in face-to-face encounters.
- Clinically supervise LVNs and MAs assigned to the Triage Unit.
- Assist the Triage Unit Supervisor as needed.
- Ensure efficient patient flow and customer service.
- Provide patient education on complex health care needs.
- Consult with providers on abnormal laboratory or test results.
- Respond timely and effectively to patient/family concerns.
- Maintain professional demeanor and excellence in customer service.
- Participate in data collection and data entry for quality improvement activities.
Requirements:
- Current RN license in the State of California.
- BLS certified according to the AHA guidelines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to demonstrate patience and convey a warm, caring attitude toward patients and staff.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work with people of diverse cultural, educational, social, economic, and linguistic backgrounds.
- Regular predictable attendance during clinic hours.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately with minimal supervision.
- Ability to teach others.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Recent experience in a clinic or outpatient setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to clearly communicate in English and at least one of the following languages: Thai, Khmer, Tagalog, Vietnamese or Spanish.
