Key Responsibilities -

The Senior Facilities Operations Engineer will oversee and execute various preventive maintenance tasks and repairs, holding the primary responsibility for engineering and maintenance operations to guarantee a safe, efficient, and cost-effective service delivery to clients and building occupants. This role will involve hands-on tasks to ensure compliance with JLL standards and protocols. You will also identify and implement Operations and Maintenance strategies to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient buildings, systems, and equipment within your designated area.

Daily Activities Include:
  • Assessing, training, mentoring, and guiding a team of Engineers and Maintenance Technicians as directed by management.
  • Utilizing hands-on skills and knowledge to perform necessary repairs and maintenance on commercial buildings and systems, including HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing.
  • Employing industry-standard tools while adhering to all relevant codes, laws, and regulations.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory laws and guidelines related to building infrastructure operations.
  • Managing staffing schedules, timekeeping, and employment records to facilitate planning, scheduling, and execution of engineering and maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborating with Lead Engineers regarding work orders and job completion timelines.
  • Possessing a minimum of five (5) years of technical and supervisory experience in building engineering, with a robust background in the technical aspects of HVAC equipment repair, maintenance, and system design.
  • Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of Safe Work practices, particularly concerning energized work, working at heights, and confined spaces.
  • Recognizing, assessing, and mitigating risks effectively.
  • Understanding and utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for various tasks.
  • Exhibiting proficiency in computer applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Meeting physical demands, including bending, sitting, kneeling, squatting, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Being prepared to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, sunlight, rain, and cold.
Required Qualifications
  • 7 - 10 years of experience in Skilled Trades.
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency in computer programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of trade school education in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.
  • Valid HVAC technician certification.
  • Experience in laboratory, bio, or pharmaceutical environments.
  • Familiarity with air filtration systems and environmental controls in regulated settings.
Compensation Overview:

The estimated total compensation for this position is approximately 84,400.00 USD annually. This range encompasses total compensation, including bonuses where applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed, as employment offers are based on education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and market data alignment.
