About the Role

New Leaf Energy is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our growing team of engineering professionals. As a key member of our Design Engineering team, you will play a critical role in the development of our clean energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop distributed generation and utility-scale projects, utilizing your expertise in electrical engineering and project management.
  • Lead the design of multiple complex projects, working closely with internal engineering staff and external stakeholders.
  • Identify process improvements and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our design processes.
  • Train and mentor less experienced team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to support their growth and development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 4-8 years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, with a strong background in project management and leadership.
  • NABCEP Certification preferred, with experience in utility-scale PV and/or ESS development (100+ MW) a plus.
  • Advanced understanding of system design and engineering concepts, with proficiency in PVcase, PVsyst, and PVBid.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
