Senior Mechanical Engineer - Cell Design

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Strativ Group. As a key member of our Cell Design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing lithium-ion cells, including materials specification and down-selection, mechanical drawings, tolerance stack-up analysis, and mechanical modeling and characterization.

About the Role:

  • Design and develop lithium-ion cells, including materials specification and down-selection
  • Creation and management of mechanical drawings and tolerance stack-up analysis
  • Mechanical modeling and characterization of the finished cell
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful cell development

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and at least 7 years of experience in battery development
  • Strong understanding of thermomechanical behavior of lithium-ion batteries and CAD design principles
  • Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles
  • Finite element analysis skills
