About the Role

Aon is seeking a highly skilled Account Specialist II to join our commercial risk team in St. Louis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting Account Executives and Associate Account Executives on assigned accounts, managing key processes that serve clients, and undertaking client-facing and internal activities related to these processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing key processes that serve clients, including complex clients, and undertake client-facing and internal activities related to these processes.
  • Support Account Executives and Associate Account Executives on assigned accounts, including assisting with client open items lists and responding to client ad-hoc requests.
  • Perform submission assembly/creation, facilitate the timely and accurate flow of information between clients and account team members, and handle client open items lists and respond to client ad-hoc requests.
  • Gather and analyze data, draft assigned elements of stewardship reports, and create convincing presentations tailored to the needs of the audience and the circumstances of the presentation.
  • Actively support and monitor the renewal process, draft quote comparisons, and follow up for binders, policies, and endorsements.
  • Collaborate with Premium Accounting on client billing matters, receive and handle routine and sophisticated coverage inquiries and endorsement requests, and serve as a key client liaison for items such as certificates, auto IDs, location additions, invoices, and policy transmittals.
  • Monitor and follow up on invoice generation, fee agreements, receivables, and collections, address and resolve problems, and may provide guidance and mentoring to a less senior account specialist.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of previous commercial insurance experience preferred.
  • Property & Casualty brokers license preferred, or to be obtained within 120 days of start date.
