About the Role

Abbott is a global healthcare leader seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist II to join our team. As a Clinical Specialist II, you will play a critical role in providing technical clinical expertise and support to our sales process, working closely with colleagues, current customers, and potential customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical, clinical, and programming assistance to Territory Managers
  • Assist Territory Managers in after-hours call support and activities
  • Integrate into accounts, build trust, and establish strong rapport with customers
  • Demonstrate proficiency in complex programming and case support
  • Work seamlessly with Territory Managers to increase selling time
  • Foster high-trust relationships with colleagues, including regional teams and area leadership
  • As directed by management, contact, visit, and interest clients and potential clients in the company's products, addressing any client questions and concerns
  • Provide medical professionals with sales support, information, and training on the use of company products, as well as staff education, in-services, and technical troubleshooting
  • Conduct evaluations and develop sales strategies for capital equipment opportunities within accounts
  • Collect and study information about new and existing products, monitoring competitor sales, prices, and products
  • Provide feedback to providers in both operating room and outside operating room settings on the directions for use specific to implantable devices
  • Use clinical expertise to identify customer training and in-service needs, aiming to increase customer usage, comfort, and understanding of the complete product line
  • Attend trade shows where new products and technologies are showcased, meeting other sales representatives and clients to discuss new product developments
  • Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments
  • Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors
Requirements
  • Associates Degree or technical certification; preferred Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 or more years of experience working with patients in a clinical setting
  • Ability to understand and communicate clinical data
  • Capable of engaging customers in selling conversations as directed
  • Ability and willingness to travel within assigned area on a regular basis
  • Capable and willing to work an unpredictable schedule that may change on short notice
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels and to large groups within and outside the organization
