Position Overview:
The Patient Care Assistant works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or licensed nursing professional, providing essential daily nursing care to assigned patients. This role is vital in ensuring patient safety and well-being in accordance with established regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and document vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, while reporting findings to the supervising nurse.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, remaining present to provide support as needed.
  • Observe and report on patients' conditions, mental states, and social behaviors to the nursing staff.
  • Assist patients during meal times and with feeding when necessary, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
  • Support patients during admission, discharge, and transfer processes, prioritizing their comfort and safety.
  • Facilitate patients' daily living activities.
  • Transport patients to and from units as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient care areas, ensuring supplies are stocked and up to date.
  • Perform morning and evening care routines.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Completion of elementary education.
2. Successful completion of a basic skills training program for Patient Care Assistants or equivalent.
