Position Summary: We are currently looking for a Service Operations Manager to oversee the coordination of new customer installations, service requests, and routine maintenance. This role is crucial for the effective scheduling and dispatching of our skilled technicians, including Master Plumbers and LP Gas installers, ensuring that our clients receive timely and high-quality service. The Service Operations Manager will be responsible for scheduling, emergency response, managing work orders, navigating permitting processes, and maintaining clear communication with customers. Additionally, this position will involve administrative duties to support the seamless functioning of the service team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and a customer-focused mindset, with a background in the energy sector, contracting, construction, or home improvement preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Coordination:
    • Oversee daily operations related to gas service activities, ensuring efficient dispatching and completion of tasks.
    • Manage the application and approval processes for permits, gaining familiarity with the regulations in each service area.
    • Maintain and monitor service schedules to guarantee timely appointments and follow-up services as required.
  • Client Relations:
    • Engage with customers through various communication channels to confirm appointments, provide updates, and resolve scheduling conflicts.
    • Address and manage any issues or emergencies that may arise during service delivery.
    • Adjust resources and reschedule appointments as necessary to accommodate client needs.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure that all service activities adhere to relevant regulations and safety standards.
    • Participate in ongoing training to understand gas and oil regulations and codes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working collaboratively with a team of contractors or service personnel.
  • Demonstrated experience in scheduling, customer service, or administrative functions.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Willingness to engage in training sessions, both in-person and online.
  • Relevant experience in the energy sector, contracting, construction, or home improvement is advantageous.
