Advanced Anesthesia and Critical Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Anesthesia and Critical Care Specialist to join our team at Disability Solutions. As a key member of our surgery service, you will play a crucial role in the safe and effective management of anesthesia and pain in pets undergoing surgical procedures.

About the Job
  • We estimate the salary for this position to be around $100,000-$130,000 per year, depending on experience.

This is a full-time position that requires a deep understanding of advanced anesthesia and critical care principles, as well as excellent communication skills. You will work closely with our veterinary surgeons to develop and implement complex anesthetic plans, manage patient airways and pulmonary status, and provide pain management and post-anesthetic care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement complex anesthetic plans in collaboration with veterinarians
  • Manage patient airways and pulmonary status using advanced techniques such as arterial sampling and invasive blood pressure monitoring
  • Administer medications and fluids to maintain homeostasis and provide pain relief
  • Analyze patient vital signs and make adjustments to anesthesia as needed
  • Provide pain management and post-anesthetic care to patients
  • Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with clients and staff
Requirements
  • Advanced certification or diplomate in veterinary anesthesia and critical care
  • Current certification and licensure in the state of practice
  • Hands-on experience working in veterinary emergency, critical care, and surgery
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, stand for long periods, and wear protective gear
