As part of the Construction Section, you will provide critical inspection and oversight for various heavy highway construction projects, which may include:

  • Roadways
  • Bridges
  • Railroads
  • Occasional projects involving rock blasting or rail trails

The selected candidate will engage in the following activities during the construction season:

  • Acting as an inspector by observing, verifying, measuring, and documenting the work performed by contractors.
  • Interpreting project plans and specifications.
  • Sampling and testing construction materials.
  • Reviewing project records and documentation.
  • Setting up and operating survey equipment, tabulating data, and performing field calculations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Alternatively, an Associate's degree in a related field with four years of engineering experience, including licensure as an Engineer Intern, is acceptable.
