Job Overview

Neuroscience Group is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Advanced Practice Nurse specializing in Neurology. This full-time role is essential to our clinical management team, where you will deliver comprehensive medical and nursing care to patients with neurological conditions and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations, diagnose conditions, plan and implement treatment strategies, prescribe medications, and order necessary laboratory and diagnostic tests. Maintain ongoing patient follow-up through office visits, which may include counseling, referrals, and education.
  • Patient and Family Education: Provide tailored verbal and written guidance to patients and their families based on individual health needs. Be available for inquiries and concerns, promoting health education and preventive care.
  • Clinical Documentation: Accurately document patient assessments, treatment plans, and educational interactions. Ensure all clinical records are maintained in accordance with established protocols.
  • Administrative Duties: Document all patient encounters, submit charges promptly for billing accuracy, and maintain records of services rendered for administrative oversight.
  • Research and Quality Improvement: Lead initiatives focused on continuous quality enhancement, patient education programs, and assist in research projects to advance clinical practices.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Support attending physicians with advanced diagnostic procedures and contribute to the operational efficiency of the practice.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse and Nurse Practitioner in the State of Wisconsin.
  • Active BLS Certification.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in managing neurological patients is preferred.
  • DEA registration is required.
