About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Training Specialist to join our team at Oshkosh Corporation. As a Technical Training Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs for our manufacturing team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver curriculum, courses, and associated materials on various topics.
  • Assist in the assessment of training requirements across the organization.
  • Network with production leaders to identify training needs and develop programs to address those needs.
  • Develop online learning modules within our corporate Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Develop Instructor-Lead Training modules.
  • Track learning using the LMS.
  • Network collaboratively across different business units within the segment.
  • Research and write proposals.
  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, recommend, and implement vendor training courseware, materials, and media as appropriate.
  • Work with outside vendors and internal stakeholders to customize and coordinate program design and delivery.
  • Identify external training courses for employees as appropriate.
  • Participate in special corporate and organizational development initiatives.
  • Assist in the coordination of training events.
  • Conduct on-the-job training, new hire orientation, and/or on-demand training based on business needs.
  • Participate in industry training groups, internal education advisory boards, and user groups.
  • Support documentation standards for all Training Center activities and products.
  • Develop and publish content within the knowledge repository and Training Center intranet site.
  • Work within established documentation style and templates.
  • Participate in budget preparation and tracking, ensuring adherence to the department budget.
  • Follow guidance from leaders.
  • Monitor compliance and record-keeping within the Learning Management System.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Seven plus years' experience in Training and Development/Management/Organization Development.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Training, Education, or Human Resources OR combination of equivalent experience in Instructional and Program Design.
  • Knowledge and application of adult learning theories.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Innovative/creative thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Focus on results and quality.
  • Completing projects in a timely manner within tight timelines.
  • Prior experience with program design and/or curriculum writing.
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS); prior Workday experience preferred.
  • Prior experience creating training videos and writing video scripts.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Specifically Publisher, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Pro.
