Phlebotomist Opportunity at Cary Medical Center

Cary Medical Center is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join their Laboratory team. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in the collection of biological specimens for laboratory testing. Your primary responsibility will be to obtain high-quality specimens from patients, ensuring accurate and timely results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect blood and other biological specimens from patients using aseptic techniques
  • Process specimens for laboratory testing, including labeling, sorting, and storing
  • Respond promptly to STAT and URGENT requests from laboratory staff
  • Collaborate with laboratory technologists to ensure efficient specimen processing
  • Provide excellent patient care and communication, explaining procedures and answering questions
Requirements:
  • No license required; on-the-job training provided
  • Obtain Phlebotomy Certification within the first 6 months of employment
  • CPR and basic first aid recommended
  • High school graduate or equivalent GED
Work Schedule:

As a Phlebotomist at Cary Medical Center, you may be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. You may also be asked to float to other units as needed.
