Job Title: Pre-Licensing Technical Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Consultant to join our team at Wisconsin Early Childhood Association. As a Technical Consultant, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of childcare centers and ensuring compliance with licensing requirements.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will contribute to a seamless licensing process, providing technical assistance to applicants as they prepare initial licensing application materials. This includes sharing information and resources on licensing rules, reviewing proposed policies and procedures, conducting site visits, and discussing best business practices for operating a small business in the childcare industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide technical assistance to applicants on licensing rules and regulations.
  2. Review and provide feedback on proposed policies and procedures.
  3. Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
  4. Discuss best business practices for operating a small business in the childcare industry.
  5. Offer support and guidance to applicants as they prepare initial licensing application materials.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or related field, or Associates degree with 3-5 years of administrative experience.
  • Must have or be willing to acquire the Registry's Technical Assistance and Trainer Professional endorsement.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Able to communicate effectively, work independently, take initiative, problem solve, identify needs, and contribute to creative solutions.
  • Bilingual (Hmong or Spanish) proficiency preferred.
  • Candidate must have demonstrated ability to work with and understand culturally diverse populations.
  • Must clear a full background check, including fingerprinting.
  • This position involves travel; access to a vehicle and valid driver's license and insurance is required.

Salary range for this position is $48,000 to $52,200 per year.
