Position Overview

This role offers a unique opportunity to:

  • Oversee the complete development lifecycle, from user interviews to the creation of requirement documents, design specifications, and implementation. Champion ongoing supplier enhancement and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage intricate contracts, lead negotiations to secure advantageous terms, volume discounts, and long-term agreements with suppliers, while preparing and processing requisitions and purchase orders for goods and services.
  • Direct teams in managing the end-to-end sourcing process, including negotiation strategies, supplier selection, contract formulation, and execution.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams on strategic sourcing projects, promoting best practices and measuring internal performance across various spend categories.
  • Communicate complex strategies effectively, collaborating and delegating within a decentralized global procurement environment to achieve substantial savings.
  • Evaluate and enhance existing tools to improve spend visibility, dashboards, reports, and other business intelligence methods that drive actionable insights.
  • Take charge of specific categories and provide consultation on merger and acquisition due diligence, supporting integration projects as part of the overall team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven ability to articulate concepts and recommendations effectively, gaining acceptance and commitment.
  • International experience managing indirect reports within a matrix structure.
  • Capability to operate independently in ambiguous situations, with a strong track record of conflict resolution and results achievement.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and a history of delivering continuous improvement.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as supply chain management, business administration, operations, or finance, with a minimum of 5 years (10 preferred) combined experience in business, indirect sourcing, or related areas.
  • Proficient in computer applications including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other database tools.

Key Attributes

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with training or experience in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with robust project management abilities.

Travel Requirements

Approximately 30% travel may be necessary.
