Job Title: Senior Web Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Architect to join our team at ICS, Inc. in Waltham, MA.

Job Summary:

The Senior Web Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing a complex global web infrastructure based on business-driven projects and capacity. This role will lead the strategic planning and build activities supporting the overall web architecture and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bridge strategic vision and tactical implementation
  • Collaborate with multiple teams, including business stakeholders, UX Design, and backend teams
  • Inform management and provide recommendations for mitigating potential bottlenecks or single points of failure within the environment
  • Analyze and understand the organization's environment and architecture
  • Work with infrastructure product vendors, AE infrastructure, and enterprise architects to implement web infrastructure improvements and new products and technology
  • Implement web technologies based on integration for global standards, data classification, and data privacy according to regulatory guidelines
  • Ensure web security controls meet internal and external audit and compliance requirements
  • Perform as a technical subject matter expert in the development of highly complex, innovative, and cost-effective integration solutions
  • Interface with service providers to communicate new architecture standards and perform regular audits
  • Develop best practice techniques for the web environment and mentor the team in these activities
  • Evaluate and certify web technologies, assist in the management of vendor relationships, and define vendor product feature sets
  • Support service providers to troubleshoot complex web infrastructure issues within prescribed service levels
  • Design and develop reference architecture diagrams to help standardize the web infrastructure landscape
Qualifications:
  • Strong development background, extensive architecture experience, and technical leadership qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of design patterns to build highly scalable, highly performant, highly secure web applications
  • Working knowledge of Web Services, APIs, JSON, and XML technologies
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in working with code versioning tools
  • Experience in React/React Native/Flutter is a plus
Experience:
  • 5 or more years of experience as a Web Developer or Architect
  • 5-10 years of experience in web development
  • Experience in HTML
  • Experience in Cloud Hosting, Cloud Portal, DevOps, Cloud Storage
  • Experience in deploying using Web Deploy, GIT, FTP, TFS
  • Experience in Authentication Technologies: LDAP, CAS
  • Proficient in working with code versioning tools
  • Experience in creating and managing databases
  • Proven experience managing solution architectures and expert-level knowledge of modern technologies and software development practices and patterns
  • Experience integrating with backend systems and integration testing
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, Graduate degree preferred
