Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate clinical, educational, and administrative activities of various sub-specialty areas within the unit.
- Assess, observe, supervise, demonstrate, and evaluate patient care.
- Maintain patient standards, policies, and practices of the department.
- Initiate appropriate actions in emergency situations.
- Assist staff in identifying and applying inter and intra-departmental resources to facilitate patient care.
- Demonstrate and supervise the appropriate use of equipment, supplies, and physical facilities.
The successful candidate will have a Baccalaureate degree in nursing or higher, a current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license, and at least five to six years of medical-surgical nursing experience. Apheresis experience or dialysis experience is preferred. Critical care nursing experience is also preferred.
