Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with their dialysis treatment, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the registered nurse or supervisor.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on dialysis machines, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting a smooth transition to dialysis therapy.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and policies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
  • Must meet Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS)-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline.
  • Demonstrated commitment to organization culture, values, and customer service standards.
