Responsibilities:

  • Communicate Treatment Plans: Effectively explain treatment options, answer questions, and address concerns in a clear and empathetic manner.
  • Coordinate Appointments: Schedule appointments for treatments, consultations, and follow-up visits, taking into consideration patient availability and clinic schedule.
  • Assist with Financial Arrangements: Help patients understand and navigate insurance coverage and financial obligations, providing accurate cost estimates and exploring payment options.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure up-to-date patient records, treatment plans, and correspondence for efficient communication and coordination.
  • Collaborate with the Dental Team: Work closely with the front desk and administrative staff to ensure a smooth patient flow and organized office environment.
  • Continuously Update Knowledge: Stay current on dental treatments, procedures, and insurance policies to provide accurate information to patients.
  • Handle Patient Concerns: Address any patient concerns or issues that may arise during the treatment process, escalating them as necessary for prompt resolution.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a dental office, preferably as a treatment coordinator or in a similar patient-facing role.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport and trust with patients and the dental team.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Verbal and written communication skills to explain complex treatment information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Detail-Oriented and Organized: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Dental Software: Basic computer skills and proficiency in dental software.
  • Understanding of Dental Terminology: Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes.
  • Empathetic and Patient-Centered Approach: A patient-centered approach to customer service.
  • Education: High school diploma.
