Job Title: Tenured Professor in the Department of Celtic Languages and Literatures

Job Summary: Harvard University is seeking a highly qualified Tenured Professor in the Department of Celtic Languages and Literatures. The successful candidate will have a strong command of Middle and Modern Welsh and a broad range of interests within the field of Celtic studies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction in Welsh to graduate students in the Celtic and other departments
  • Supervise the teaching of Brittonic languages by visiting faculty and graduate Teaching Fellows
  • Contribute to the undergraduate curriculum through courses in Harvard's General Education and/or First Year Seminar programs
  • Develop innovative courses in Celtic studies and Welsh topics at both undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Undertake administrative responsibilities in the Celtic Department

Requirements:

  • Doctorate in a relevant field
  • Strong command of Middle and Modern Welsh
  • Broad range of interests within the field of Celtic studies
