About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team at Methodist Richardson Medical Center. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist professional nursing personnel in the care of patients with mental health needs.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Take vital signs and collect other necessary information to support patient care.
  • Document observations and other relevant information to ensure accurate patient records.
  • Participate in group therapy sessions and other treatment planning activities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Annual training in management of aggressive patients required.
  • 2 years of experience in a mental health related field with direct patient care responsibilities required.
