About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Technician to join our multidisciplinary team at Methodist Richardson Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with professional nursing personnel to provide comprehensive patient care, prioritizing safety, comfort, and therapeutic environment.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, take vital signs, and collect specimens or measures as needed.
  • Document observations, assist with groups, calls, and treatment planning to ensure smooth unit operations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to promote a collaborative environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance patient care and unit efficiency.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Annual training in management of aggressive patients required.
  • 2 years of experience in a mental health-related field with direct patient care responsibilities required.
