Electrophysiology APP Job Description

BayCare Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our dynamic Electrophysiology team at Winter Haven Hospital.

As an Electrophysiology APP, you will play a pivotal role in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with complex cardiac arrhythmias and related conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests such as ECGs and Holter monitors.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including medication management and procedural interventions (e.g., pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, ablations).
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient care outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Nursing or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current licensure and certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Clinical experience in Electrophysiology, Cardiology, or a related field.
  • Strong clinical acumen, critical thinking skills, and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
