Teacher - Science Educator

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Teacher - Science Educator to join our team at Craven County School District. As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth in our students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study and Common Core standards.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to measure student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Establish and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and involve them in their child's education.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs that support student learning and achievement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in science education and to enhance teaching skills.
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- North Carolina Professional Educator's License or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong knowledge of science content and pedagogy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment.
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Knowledge of technology integration and instructional design.
- Experience with Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and collaborative planning.
