Autism Support Professional

At QSAC, we offer a supportive and individualized setting for children and adults with autism to improve their communication, socialization, academic, and functional skills. As an Autism Support Professional, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with autism, while following established treatment plans.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $16.50-$17.50 per hour, depending on experience. In addition to a generous salary, our employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance with low out-of-pocket costs, as well as a 403(b) retirement plan with employer match.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with autism in developing and maintaining relationships, promoting safety, independence, and integration into the community.
- Implement and adhere to established treatment plans, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of care.
- Provide transportation for individuals as needed, utilizing agency vehicles.
- Uphold the standards set by the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) Code of Ethics, demonstrating professionalism and a commitment to person-centered supports.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; experience working with individuals with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record (if required for the position).
- Ability to run and lift individuals of various weights (approximately 20 pounds) when needed.
Physical Demands and Education
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of autism and its effects on individuals, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A valid driver's license and good driving record (if required for the position) are highly preferred.
