About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at Vidant Health. As a Patient Access Representative, you will be responsible for performing patient registration, providing insurance benefits interpretation and counseling, and maintaining medical terminology skills and knowledge of third-party payer regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform patient registration and verify patient information
• Interpret and counsel patients on insurance benefits and coverage
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Ensure compliance with third-party payer regulations and guidelines
• Provide excellent customer service and communication skills
Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• 2 years of customer service experience required; 1-2 years of registration and/or billing experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Excellent communication, detail orientation, organization, and multitasking skills
• Basic computer skills
