Job Summary

The Bank Reconciliation Specialist plays a critical role in the billing process, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of electronic and paper lock boxes. This position requires strong organizational and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sort and process lock boxes and daily mail from clients by date of service
  • Log deposit amounts daily for each client's lock box on a spreadsheet
  • Receive and process paper checks for clients through the mail
  • Prepare deposits by creating deposit tapes
  • Secure deposits and deliver them to a courier daily
  • Scan deposit images and upload them to the appropriate folder
  • Review outstanding issues daily and take corrective action as needed
  • Create payment batches in MedSuite
  • Prepare and work correspondence daily per client specification
  • Retrieve correspondence and sort it by client
  • Scan and upload correspondence to the appropriate folder
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least one year of experience in a data entry field
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to make sound, accurate, and timely decisions
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply state and federal laws, regulations, and policies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse personalities
  • Basic use of computer, telephone, internet, copier, fax, and scanner
  • Basic touch 10-key skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and database software
