We are seeking a highly skilled Road Maintenance Technician to join our team at Webber. As a key member of our infrastructure maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our roads and infrastructure assets.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on roads and infrastructure assets, including pressure washing and painting.
- Set up and remove traffic control devices, including barrels, message/arrow boards, and temporary signage.
- Operate large trucks and specialized motor vehicles and trailers to transport crew and equipment to work sites.
- Contribute to a diverse, inclusive, and fair work environment, free from discrimination, bullying, and harassment.
- Prepare and paint sound walls, retaining walls, retaining wall coping, bridge abutments, and barrier walls, including surface preparation and high-pressure washing.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including pressure washing bridge abutments, bent caps, and bridge joints.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of work experience in infrastructure maintenance and repair, or high volume commercial or residential painting and power washing.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
- Ability to pass and obtain Advanced MOT Certification.
The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk on a wide range of surfaces, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Use manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and equipment. Vision abilities include both close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to pass fit test for respirator as required. Ability to work at heights. Ability to work in confined spaces.
